In 2011, Dodge, Ram, and Dodge's Viper were separated. Dodge said that the Dodge Viper will now be an SRT product and Ram will be a manufacturer. In 2014, SRT was merged back into Dodge. Later that year, Chrysler Group was renamed FCA US LLC, corresponding with the merger of Fiat S.p.A. and Chrysler Group into the single corporate structure of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

It’s your chance to get the knowledge of a factory race program in a 200 mph* striped package. The SRT Viper GT3-R builds upon the success of the GTS-R. The chassis has been equipped with a highly efficient aerodynamic package to optimize handling. Further racing enhancements include an Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters, six-piston front brake calipers with four-piston rears, lightweight wheels and a multi-disc race clutch to help extract maximum performance from the V-10 engine.

The SRT Viper GTS-R is an LM GTE class race car designed and built by SRT Motorsports and Riley Technologies. It includes Michelin GT tires.
The vehicle was unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, and it made its racing debut at the 2013 12 Hours of Sebring where two GTS-Rs finished 6th and 10th in the GT class (25th and 29th overall).
The SRT Viper Racing team entering 2012 ALMS included Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Tommy Kendall, Jonathan Bomarito, and Kuno Wittmer.
The two GTS-Rs of SRT Motorsports finished 3rd in the GT class championship. The car made its debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2013, where it finished eighth in class and 24th overall.
In 2014, with the ALMS folding and merging with the Rolex Sports Car Series, SRT soon entered the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GTLM class. In the opening round, the 2014 24 Hours of Daytona, SRT took 3rd and 6th in class (12th and 27th overall, completing 675 and 653 laps respectively). Both cars were repainted at Watkins Glen in the red and white livery used in the late 1990s to early 2000s. The No. 93 Viper won class at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Brickyard Grand Prix in July 2014, after both cars took podium positions in the previous races at The Glen and Mosport.
In March 2014 Chrysler announced that it was withdrawing the Vipers from the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Viper Competition Coupe is a 520-hp coupe version of the Viper SRT-10 roadster. The Competition Coupe is legal for the third professional series—the SCCA Speed World Challenge—and last year it made an outstanding debut when Paul Mumford, a talented amateur driver, beat the factory Audi and BMW teams and their professional drivers at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and won in only his second World Challenge race.
The car is also welcomed at Viper Club of America races, an amateur series for Viper enthusiasts. It was at the last Viper race of the season, at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), where we got some seat time in the Competition Coupe.
The Viper Competition is fantastically quick. Its monster 8.3-liter aluminum V-10 effortlessly yanks the car around, and it's so torquey (540 pound-feet at 4600 rpm) that it makes downshifting feel like an option. With help from the grippy 13.6-inch-wide Hoosier racing slicks, the Competition Coupe flashed to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds, passed 100 in 7.0 seconds, and tripped the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 130 mph.
Dodge figures the Competition is good for 193 mph, but we only got it to 160—which it achieved in 20.9 seconds, 1.4 seconds quicker than it takes a Nissan 350Z to hit 120 mph. The Dodge's anti-lock brakes (the rotors and the calipers are stock, but there are higher-temperature pads and brake ducts) hauled it down from 70 mph in only 134 feet (a Lamborghini Murciélago takes 155 feet), and it pulled 1.19 g on the skidpad (a Ferrari Enzo, 1.05 g).

The Chrysler Viper GTS-R (also known as the Dodge Viper GTS-R when raced in North America) was a successful racing variant of the Dodge Viper developed in conjunction with Chrysler of North America, Oreca of France, and Reynard Motorsport of the United Kingdom. Officially unveiled at the 1995 Pebble Beach Concours, it has won numerous championships and famous events in its history. Some chassis are still in use today.
Although the production cars have mostly been known as Dodge Vipers, the Dodge brand did not sell the Viper in Europe. Because the new cars, named GTS-R, were built in Europe, they were mostly known as Chrysler Viper GTS-R. However cars racing in North America usually ran under the Dodge banner, making them Dodge Viper GTS-Rs. This naming difference therefore depends on location and region. The cars themselves actually carried no badging for either Chrysler or Dodge, with only the Viper GTS-R name appearing on the side of the bonnet.
The Canaska Southwind team would end their involvement in the Viper program in 1997. This meant Oreca would make the only appearance for a Viper in IMSA GT by submitting a lone entry at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, finishing in 12th place. After Daytona, the team returned to Europe to concentrate on the new FIA GT Championship which had replaced the BPR series. The team would switch to the less powerful GT2 class due to the strength of the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz teams which were entering GT1, while at the same time being joined by the customer Chamberlain Engineering team. Oreca began the season strong with a 1-2 finish in their class ahead of the Roock Racing Porsches, and would go on to take six more victories in the eleven race season and winning the GT2 championship. The team also returned to Le Mans with three cars, although they would only finish in 14th place, fifth in their class. Another customer Viper would also appear in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship for Team Taisan, making two appearances with a best finish of eighth.
The Oreca team would strengthen their dominance in FIA GT in 1998, as the team managed to win all but one event in the ten race schedule. Oreca would also take their first class victory at Le Mans with an eleventh place overall finish. Chamberlain continued as a privateer in FIA GT earning several points, as well as earning a 14th-place finish at Daytona. Meanwhile, the Oftedahl Motorsport would purchase a Viper GTS-R and go on to score six class wins in the British GT Championship, including an overall race win at Silverstone and earning Kurt Luby and Richard Dean the drivers' championship.
